LP1PP, a legal representative of VIETNAM OIL AND GAS GROUP as the Project Owner, is investing of the 2 x 600 MW Long Phu 1 Supercritical Coal-fired Power Plant located in Long Duc commune, Long Phu district, Soc Trang province, Vietnam.
Key project metrics are as follows:
Location: Long Phu power complex area at Thanh Duc hamlets, Long Duc commune, Long Phu district, Soc Trang Province.
Technology: Supercritical technology with capacity of 2x600MW and the configuration of each unit including one boiler, one turbine and one generator.
Rated operation time: 6500h/year.
Boiler: Supercritical technology, 02 passes, pulverized coal fired, single reheat, once - through type boiler.
Main fuel: Bituminious/Subbituminious coal imported from Indonesia or Australia and the auxiliary fuel used for start-up/support is DO.
In 2014, Petrovietnam entered into EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) Contract with Consortium Power Machines (PM-Russia) & PTSC (Vietnam) for 2x600MW coal-fired power plant located at Soc Trang province, Vietnam. PM, as leader of Consortium, was in charge of Engineering, Procurement, Supervision for erection and commissioning while member PTSC was in charge of construction-erection work at Site. After about 3 years of EPC Contract implementation from commencement date (30/01/2015), on 26/01/2018, Power Machines was imposed by Sanction of US Government which led to their unilateral declaration of EPC Contract termination at beginning of 2019. At the moment, the EPC Contract has been officially terminated.
Under our planning for the project further implementation to be completed by 2027, we are seeking a qualified EPC Contractor/EPC Consortium to inherit and complete the remaining scopes of the project. This EOI aims to provide prospective EPC Contractors with relevant general background information and to describe scopes to be performed by prospective Contractors (as per attachment) for completion of Long Phu 1 project.
